Long Time Treasurer Retires
April 30, 2005
As many of you already know, Susannah Deater has retired as
treasurer of Grant Township. She had served in that capacity for over 20
years & has seen the township through many changes. Her stories of the
days gone by and how things had to be done without all the modern conveniences
we take for granted today make us wonder how she ever managed. She didn't
just manage, she did her job exceptionally well & with love for her township
that is difficult to find these days.
Of course, retirement to a person as dedicated as Sue meant
simply a shift in responsibilities. Sue now serves as the deputy treasure
to Kathleen Bert and is the Chairperson for the Park & Recreation Committee.
Make sure when you see Sue you remember to thank her for a job
very well done in her township & offer her a helping hand with her future
endeavors.
Thanks Sue!

websites for townships. The Grant Township website was in need of an
update. A group of students from this course have been working on updating
our site since January, and it is now completed. Thank you to the students
for their work on our website.
